Hurry ‘Harvey’ ends run this weekend at CentenaryStage

The final performances of the heartwarming comedy HARVEY, by Pulitzer-prize winning author Mary Chase, will be Oct 15 – 19 at the Centenary Stage Company in the Lackland Center for the Performing Arts in Hackettstown.  Chase wrote the comedy for her neighbor, a single parent who had worked all her life to put her son through college only to see him killed in the war.   “What can I write to may her smile again?” Chase asked, and HARVEY was born.  Filled with comic misunderstandings and mistaken intentions, the play yet goes to the heart of what things matter most in life, even if they cannot be seen – as Elwood P Dowd’s 6-foot Pooka demonstrates.

This  is comedy, and very funny comedy at that...with hilarious dialogue. Go See it,” says New Jersey Arts Maven critic Sheila Abrams, about the CSC production. (READ OUR REVIEW)
