Vagabond Players will present musical celebration of the life of Frank J. Burns, Jr.

On Sunday August 16th at 2 pm (reception to follow) “The Vagabond Players will present, “Celebrate Frank 2” a musical celebration of the life of Frank J. Burns, Jr., a performer, teacher, mentor, friend, Vice-President of The Vagabond Players and life long resident of Roxbury Township, who was taken from us last year…far too soon.

This musical revue Titled “Red, White and Blue, A musical Celebration of America” is filled with songs about this great land of ours and Broadway songs as well as in the format that Frank conceived for The Vagabond Players in 2003. Songs like “God Bless America”, “You’re A Grand Old Flag”, ”My Country ‘Tis Of Thee”,“Pass It On”, “Day Is Done” along with some classic Broadway tunes and some others from all over to fill out the full show. Of course there will be a tribute to Frank.

The show will be presented at the Investors Bank Theater, 76 Eyland Aveune in Succasunna, NJ. In co-operation with the Roxbury Arts Alliance. Tickets are $20.00 each. Reservations can be made by calling 973-343-6047 or going to the Roxbury Arts Alliance web page, www.roxburyartsalliance.org

Cast member consist of Frank’s students and friends: Chris Bosch, Clare Capuzzi, Amanda Claas, Rosalyn Diament, Kelley Guerra, Anne Hattem, Lauren Hattem, Duffy Heitmann, Hope Keil, Jeffery Meudt, Kathy Mierisch, Kristina Plate, Michele Richard, Zack Richard, Pam Rainey Rogers, Mark Smith, Victoria Hill Smith, and Larry Turner.

All proceeds will go toward the “Frank J. Burns, Jr. Memorial Performing Arts Scholarship” being established at the County College of Morris. Any check donations should be made out to “The Vagabond Players” and make a note in the memo section stating “Frank J. Burns, Jr. scholarship fund”.
