Circle Players to present reading of ‘Much Ado About Nothing’ part of series of classic play readings

circleplayers004003 Circle Players of Piscataway will present a staged reading of William Shakespeare’s “Much Ado About Nothing”, as the next production of our ‘Speak the Speech’ series of classic play readings.

“Much Ado About Nothing” is one of Shakespeare’s great plays and reminds us all of the failings and triumphs of the human condition in our never ending search for perfect love.

The play’s plot involves two young lovers, Claudio and Hero, who are to be married imminently. The devious scheming of a resentful Prince looks set to thwart the nuptials. Meanwhile, marriage seems inconceivable for reluctant lovers Beatrice and Benedick whose endless witty sparring threatens to keep them apart forever.

The play will be directed by Diane Boyer of Bridgewater. The cast includes Jessica Damrow Sherman of Summit, Heidi Hart of Maplewood, Melissa Pinto of Middlesex, Arielle Beth of Livingston, Ed Faver of Roselle, Christopher Patti of Hillsborough, Mike Johnson of Hillsborough, Bassam Kaado of New Brunswick, Thom Boyer of Hillsborough, Rory Griffin of Frenchtown, Anna Paone of New York, Caitlin Jurewicz of Rockaway, and Christie Leigh Carver of Bound Brook.

The performance begins at 3 p.m. on December 12, 2015. There is no fixed price for tickets; patrons may pay what they wish (cash only) at the door on the afternoon of the performance.

The theater is located at 416 Victoria Avenue, Piscataway. Please be advised: due to the unique layout of this theater in the round, latecomers cannot be seated after the performance has started. Please plan to arrive at least 15 minutes before curtain.
