Healing Voices this Friday at the Bickford Theatre

Join us for Healing Voices this Friday!

There are few moments in life that elicit our empathy as when we are tasked with being caretakers.  Caring for a sick individual - a son, daughter, spouse, parent, grandparent, or even a stranger – as challenging as it oftentimes may be, provides an opportunity for us to see ourselves in new ways.

Join us at the Bickford Theatre in Morristown this Friday, March 31, at 7 PM as we partner with Atlantic Health System’s Healing Arts Program, the New Jersey Theatre Alliance, and Premiere Stages, for “Healing Voices: Caretaker Stories,” featuring stories, poems, and plays written by members of the community in a staged reading format with professional actors.  This unique event allows us to share the love, fear, tenderness, panic, and hope we’ve found in those moments, and to connect with others who’ve been in similar situations. A discussion with selected writers, directors, and caregiving professionals will follow the performance.

The evening is presented as part of the New Jersey Theatre Alliance’s Stages Festival, an annual, month-long celebration of theatre throughout the state of New Jersey.  For more information on the NJ Theatre Alliance or the Stages Festival, visit their websites at www.njtheatrealliance.org and www.stagesfestival.org, respectively.
