Just a reminder that our Literary Artists Fellowship Showcase* continues with a night of poetry readings by Barbara Daniels and Meghan Privitello at Stockton University in Galloway, New Jersey at 8 PM, April 12! Please come join us in room L-112 (next to the art gallery) and share in the wonderful experience of hearing these poets read and discuss their work with the audience. About the Poets:
Barbara Daniels’ Rose Fever was published by WordTech Press and her chapbooks Moon Kitchen, Black Sails, and Quinn & Marie by Casa de Cinco Hermanas Press. She received three Individual Artist Fellowships from the New Jersey State Council on the Arts and earned an MFA in poetry at Vermont College. Her chapbook The Woman Who Tries to Believe won the Quentin R. Howard Prize from Wind Publications. Her poems have appeared in Prairie Schooner, Mid-American Review, WomenArts Quarterly Journal,The Literary Review, and many other journals.
Meghan Privitello is the author of A New Language for Falling Out of Love (YesYes Books, 2015) and Notes on the End of the World, winner of the Black River Chapbook Competition (Black Lawrence Press, 2016) Her poems have appeared or are forthcoming in Boston Review, Kenyon Review Online, Gulf Coast, A Public Space, Best New Poets, Please Excuse This Poem: 100 New Poets for
the Next Generation, Bullets into Bells: Poets and Citizens Respond to Gun Violence in the U.S, & Elsewhere. She is the recipient of a NJ State Council of the Arts Fellowship in Poetry.
*Every three years, Writers Theatre of New Jersey, in partnership with the New Jersey State Council on the Arts, presents the New Jersey Literary Artist Fellowship Showcase. The showcase consists of public renderings of the works of the NJ State Council on the Arts Fellowship recipients in Poetry, Prose, and Playwriting.
