The Keys to Color by Dean Sickler

The class will consist of teaching several scenic painting techniques used in theater or at home. Besides some wood graining and stone rendering, Dean will show you how to work with colors to artificially age pieces for historic and scenic accuracy. You will mix paints to make glazes and then apply them to architectural surfaces and furniture in a way that does not looked forced and artificial will be the goal. Bring a notebook, since you will want to take notes as we go along, as there is a lot of information provided in a short amount of time.

The workshop is being held at the Chatham Playhouse, 23 North Passaic Avenue, in Chatham. Admission at the door is $20 and is open for anyone 14 years old and older. Please reserve your space by sending your name, age, contact number & address to ChathamWorkshops@gmail.com.
