Old Library presents new musical-Spring Awakening

The Fair Lawn (NJ) Recreation Department’s
resident theatre company Old Library Theatre (OLT) will present Spring Awakening, a new musical with book and lyrics by Steven Sater and music by Duncan Sheik

Under the direction of Craig M. Tiede, Spring Awakening will be performed at the Fair Lawn Recreation Center October 28-30 and
November 4, 6, 11-13, with shows at 8pm on Friday and Saturday and 2pm on Sunday.

Spring Awakening
explores the inner yearnings, and very real growing
pains, of a group of teenagers in a provincial 19th century German town.

Spring Awakening received eleven 2007 Tony Award nominations, winning eight, including Tonys for best musical, direction, book, score and featured actor. The show also won four Drama Desk Awards, while its London production won four Olivier Awards. Spring Awakening is presented through special arrangement with Music Theatre International (MTI). Spring Awakening is directed and co-produced by Craig M. Tiede, with
Musical Direction by Charles Santoro, Choreography by Michal Efron, Costumes by Dan Schulz and Properties by Susan Forte. It is co-produced by Tom Lawrence, with Executive Producer Peg Peet.

•       All performances take place at The Fair Lawn Recreation Center
at 10-10 20th Street in Fair Lawn, NJ.  Performance times are Fridays and Saturdays at 8pm, and Sundays at 2pm.
