RVCC Theatre Entrance
Raritan Valley Community College’s excellent Visual and Performing Arts Department will present a student production of Dearly Departed by David Bottrell and Jessie Jones. The production will run Wednesday-Saturday, November 16-19, at 8 p.m. All performances will be held in the Welpe Theatre at the College’s Branchburg Campus.

The outrageous comedy is being directed by RVCC Adjunct Professor Danielle Barry of Somerville. Mark Bloom of Bloomfield, an assistant adjunct professor at the College, is serving as technical director. Erica Furnald of Annandale is serving as stage manager, and Nick Callands of Somerville is the pianist for the production.

In the Baptist backwoods of the Bible Belt, the beleaguered Turpin family members try to pull themselves together for their father’s funeral, despite their stresses over mounting funeral bills, misbehaving children, chronic overeating, financial ruin, charges of infidelity, opinionated neighbors, and fears of falling off the wagon. The student cast includes:

Thomas Golterman (Clyde/Rev. Hooker), Stockton
Caroline Cartselos (Juanita/Veda), Califon
Tyler Salvatore Cascone (Royce), Washington (Warren County)
Aleksandr Sasha Casucci (Announcer/Norval), Branchburg

Tara Flaherty (Delightful/Nadine), Hillsboro
