[12/9] Music in the Moonlight Jazz Series with Claudio Roditi
Jazz Turns Samba at Luna is sponsored byLawrence Kantor Inc.
Claudio Roditi was born in Brazil and fell in love with American music – specifically, the trumpet sounds of Harry James, Louis Armstrong, Dizzy Gillespie and Miles Davis. His landmark 1996 album, Jazz Turns Samba, gave a Brazilian twist to jazz and popular standards such as “Come Rain or Come Shine” and “Without a Song.” He once said, “I was born in one country and live in another, but I love them both.” On December 9th, the South Orange‒based trumpeter will be joined by two virtuoso guitarists, Roni Ben-Hur and Paul Meyers, to bring his unique combination of Brazilian rhythm and American jazz to the Luna Stage.
Concert starts at 7pm. Single tickets are $18 in advance & $20 at the door. To get your tickets, click here.
