Classic Black Comedy ‘Arsenic and Old Lace’ Next at Playhouse 22


Playhouse 22, East Brunswick’s Community Theater troupe, presents the famous 1940s black comedy Arsenic and Old Lace.  The play is a farcical comedy revolving around the Brewster family, descended from the “Mayflower,” but now composed of insane homicidal maniacs. It has become best known through the film adaptation starring Cary Grant and directed by Frank Capra.  Playhouse 22’s production is directed by Deborah Pedretti.

The show runs June 13 – 29.  All performances are Friday evenings at 8 p.m., Saturdays at 8 p.m. and Sundays at 3 p.m.

Tickets are $22 for adults and $20 for seniors and students and are available online, by calling the Box Office at (732) 254-3939 or at the Box Office window.
