Tri-State Actors Theater is coming to The Newton Theatre, 234 Spring Street for “An Evening with Patsy Cline and American Songbook Hits” starring the velvet-voiced Patricia Durante, on Thursday, June 12, at 8:00 pm. Hum along with the most beloved music in our history - some of Patsy Cline's famous hits like, Crazy, Walkin’ After Midnight, She's Got You, and Sweet Dreams and songs from America's rich musical past - Over the Rainbow, Fly Me to the Moon, Alfie and more great pop favorites. The evening is a fundraiser for Tri-State Actors Theater, Sussex County’s only professional theater, founded in 1988.

The evening’s talented trio of performers are familiar faces to Tri-State audiences. Patricia Durante, singer/actor/director/playwright, most recently directed Tri-State’s world premiere production, HEELS OVER HEAD, at the PAC/SCCC. An acclaimed singer of cabaret and American songs, she has toured the United States, Europe and Scandinavia in musicals and has been a lead singer in many bands, as well as performing backup vocals and recording for headliners in Las Vegas and Atlantic City. Patricia’s fantastic new CD is coming out soon! John Zatorski has worked with Tri-State as Music Director and Keyboard Accompaniest for many of Tri-State’s Intern and Mainstage productions, including ALWAYS…PATSY CLINE in 2003.

“Mr. Z” is the renowned Band director for Wallkill Valley Regional High School, where he has created incomparable music and choral works since 1988. Bud Angelotti on pedal steel guitar was also among Patsy’s band, the Bodacious Bobcats, in 2003 and returned for an encore production in 2006. Bud has played in country and western bands and folk groups, and is also a lover of classical music.  He has performed all over the United States and has composed pieces for television, film, and live performance.
