‘Bluff’ now playing at Alliance Rep in Summit

The award winning theatre company Alliance Repertory Theatre Company is presenting Jeffrey Sweet’s "Bluff” at Mondo in Summit.

Nominated for Chicago's Joseph Jefferson Award for Best New Script, “Bluff” is an off-beat comedy where-in Boy meets Girl, starts dating Girl, and then loses Girl when Girl's family makes its presence felt. Mr. Sweet's play alternates between farce and drama as it breaks down traditional conventions to expose the underbelly of family relationships and the inherent differences in how men and women view the world around them.

‘Bluff’  Director Joseph Porter explains  " A paean to Lanford Wilson, a pioneer in the deconstruction of theatrical tradition, Bluff is a comically dark love story that depicts how early family life affects relationships later in life.”
