Playhouse 22, East Brunswick’s Community Theater troupe, presents Doubt: A Parable by John Patrick Shanley running January 9 through 18.  The drama is set in a fictional church school in the Bronx in 1964.  When a nun expresses concerns over the behavior of a progressive and beloved priest, explosive allegations are leveled against the priest leaving all in doubt over their faith.

Placzek and is part of Playhouse 22’s critically-acclaimed “On the Edge” series.  The series is an opportunity for directors to present lesser-known or smaller works that might not be suited to a full-scale production. The emphasis is on the play and the acting, not costumes, props or special effects.

Some of the content is for mature audiences and parental guidance is suggested.
