Community Theatre star actress and director Sharon Moran has died

sharon A message from the Barn Theatre in Montville:

It is with deep sadness that we share the news of the October 8, 2015 passing of the Barn Theatre's dear friend SHARON MORAN.

Sharon was SUCH a gifted actress *and* director -- and she was a favorite person of so many of us at the Barn. Sharon's first show with us was her turn as Amy in "Company" during the 1979-1980 season. She then went on to appear (brilliantly and memorably) in such shows as "Babes in Arms", "Chicago", "Moon Over Buffalo", "The Last Night of Ballyhoo", "Daughters of the Lone Star State", "Cabaret", and most recently as Mrs. Krebbs in last season's "Inherit the Wind". Sharon was a dedicated volunteer and member of the Barn Theatre for YEARS. And you would be hard-pressed to find a nicer, kinder, sweeter, more sincere, and more genuine, generous person.

But more than all of those things, Sharon was a much beloved wife and mother. Our hearts break and our thoughts and prayers and love go out to her husband Greg, their sons Michael, Justin and Ryan and her entire family. You are so much loved, Sharon, and you will be so dearly missed.

There will be a viewing at The Bermingham Funeral Home in Wharton on Monday October October 12th from 1:00pm until 4:00pm and from 6:00pm until 9:00pm.

For any Jewish friends, Sharon's family will sit Shiva at the Moran home from 3:00pm - 8:00 on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday, October 13th, 14th, and 15th.

As Mrs. Krebbs in "Inherit the Wind":
