Substance of Bliss
January 14 – February 14, 2016
A World Premiere by Tony Glazer

directed by Evan Bergman

It's 2am do you know who your children are? The sometimes funny, sometimes heartbreaking story of Paul and Donna who are waiting for their troubled fifteen-year-old son to return home late one night so that they can take him to a drug rehabilitation center…only to find themselves questioning their renovation choices, the political and religious persuasions of some of their neighbors, the feral cats running amuck in their backyard and, ultimately, their decisions to marry and have the child that is causing them so much trouble. Both insightful and cautionary, the play explores the realities of our consumer driven culture and the essence of happiness.

For Worse
March 10 – April 10, 2016
A World Premiere by Deborah Rennard

directed by Evan Bergman

After three daughters and 30 years of marriage, Peter informs his wife that he has been having an affair and has fallen in love. He assumes upon hearing this, his wife will immediately dump him. Unfortunately, she doesn't. Worse, she says she still loves him and wants to work things out, and the girlfriend, who has given Peter an ultimatum to leave his wife tonight or it's all over, doesn't appear to be sympathetic to his plight at all. A story of love, trust, friendship and betrayal - examining the question, "is old-fashioned, monogamous, committed marriage even possible anymore in today's world?"

Villainous Company

A New Jersey premiere by Victor L. Cahn
When Claire returns home from an afternoon of shopping, she discovers that one of her packages is missing. Coincidentally, just as she is calling the store, a staff member stops by to return the item, then manages to invite herself inside. Before long, larceny and trickery abound as the two women, soon joined by a third, compete in a scintillating and suspenseful game of cat-and-mouse.

June 30 – July 31, 2016
A World Premiere by Sandy Rustin
After being struck by a bicycle while crossing an East Village intersection, Vera Resnick feels a strange and out-of-character connection to the college-aged kid responsible for the collision. Is this mysterious connection real? Is it coincidence that brought Vera and the biker together? Or, are larger forces at play? In this surprising and soulful Manhattan serio-comedy, Vera, her husband, and their hippy-chic Texan neighbor seek truth in the face of deception, exploring matters of fate, family, and self-identity that affect all of their lives.

Wars", "Wild Oats", and "Laundry and Bourbon".
