Auditions: ' “Rosencrantz and Guildenstern are Dead' at Dover Little Theatre TONIGHT

Tonight and tomorrow night at seven o'clock are auditions for the title characters of Rosencrantz and Guildenstern are Dead. Auditions will be on Monday, the 14.

While we do imagine a traditional casting for the characters of Rosencrantz and Guildenstern - young men in their 20's or 30's - we will not prohibit someone from reading for them based on gender or age. If you think you are perfect for the part, please come read, and make us rethink everything we ever thought we knew!

Rosencrantz and Guildenstern are Dead” runs March 3rd, 4th, 10th, 11th, 17th, and 18th at 8 pm, March 5th and 12th at 2 pm.

Acclaimed as a modern dramatic masterpiece, "Rosencrantz & Guildenstern Are Dead" is the fabulously inventive tale of Hamlet as told from the worm's-eye view of the bewildered Rosencrantz and Guildenstern, two minor characters in Shakespeare's play. In Tom Stoppard's best-known work, this Shakespearean Laurel and Hardy finally get a chance to take the lead role, but do so in a world where echoes of Waiting for Godot resound, where reality and illusion intermix, and where fate leads our two heroes to a tragic but inevitable end.

Audition sides are available on website to look over

Auditions for the other characters will be on December 4 and 5 with callbacks on the 7 all at 7 pm.
