Local Theatre Reviewer Sheila Abrams died earlier this week

We first met Sheila more than several years ago when she reviewed at the Chester Theater Group and Centenary Stage Company for her cousin, Ruth Ross (

She loved all things theater and was a strong supporter of both our community and professional theater.

Sheila, also, was a guest contributor here at New Jersey Footlights as well.

There are few details currently available, however her daughter did post this message on Facebook: “I want to let all of her friends know that Mom died peacefully in her sleep this morning. Somewhere, the energy that made her who she was is with the energy that comprised my father, and I picture them smiling and looking at each other, being greeted by my brother, and at Rainbow Bridge, with all the pets waiting there. There will be a celebration of her life in a few weeks. I will post information here for all of her friends. In the meantime, hug those dear to you, reach out and pet a dog, put on some good music, and in Mom's honor, read a good book. She would have wanted that.”
