Chatham Community Players kick off 4th Season of play reading series

The Chatham Community Players

The Chatham Community Players is excited to kick off their 4th Season of their successful play reading series, "Sunday @ 7" with Patrick Marber's "Closer". One Night ONLY – Sunday, November 4, 2018 at 7:00 at the Chatham Playhouse, 23 North Passaic Avenue, in Chatham. Tickets are $5 and can be purchased at the door. Jeffrey Fiorello directs.

Four lives intertwine over the course of four and a half years in this densely-plotted, stinging look at modern love and betrayal. Twelve scenes chronicle the love affairs, rivalries, seductions, and betrayals of four characters (two men, two women) in a spare, intense style -- sometimes coarse, sometimes obscene, but calling for real sensitivity and vulnerability in the acting. Winner of the 1998 Olivier Award for Best Play and the 1999 New York Drama Critics' Circle Award for Best Foreign Play. *Contains very strong language and sexual references.

The Cast:

  • Samantha Simpson as Alice
  • Gus Ibranyi as Dan
  • Salvador Navarro as Larry
  • Sarah Pharaon as Anna

The Producer/Stage Manager/Lighting Designer is Pamela Wilczynski.
