Somerset Valley Players Next Production Is Biloxi Blues

Hillsborough, NJ – The next production of the Somerset Valley Players, Hillsborough’s award-winning, nonprofit community theatre, is the comedy Biloxi Blues, opening on Friday, January 25.

Directed by Todd R. Bennington, Biloxi Blues, by Neil Simon, is a comedic memoir of Simon’s own service in the US Army during World War II.  The play centers on five mismatched Army recruits and their experiences in basic training in Biloxi, MS.

Biloxi Blues is produced by Dominick and Karen Abbatiello and the stage manager is Holly Lessing.  The show is sponsored in honor and loving memory of World War II veterans Henry E. Bennington and Ralph N. DeMarco.

Biloxi Blues runs weekends through February 10.  Friday and Saturday performances begin at 8 p.m.  Sunday matinees start at 2 p.m. The theater, located at 689 Amwell Road (Route 514) in Hillsborough, is air conditioned, barrier free, and wheelchair accessible.
