Reading Tonight at Luna Stage 'The Captives'

A Reading of
THE CAPTIVES
By Barbara Blumenthal-Ehrlich
Monday, February 11th | 7PM
Featuring Izzy Castaldi, Nathan Darrow, Susan Hyon, Temesgen Tocruray, Chris Kuiken, Jenny Solomon and Naja Selby-Morton
Painting death-row meals on china plates may seem like a quirky artistic endeavor, but Professor’s made quite a name for herself doing just that, without ever meeting an actual prisoner. Now, pressured by her tenure committee, she agrees to meet face-to-face with an inmate about to die. But Texas inmate Trevor Monroe wants a stay of execution, not a final meal, setting in motion a social media frenzy and a series of life-altering events for the painter, the prison warden, and the man about to die.
Presented as part of Luna's New Moon Series
