Concordia Chamber Players open 15th anniversary season of The Princeton Festival

A concert by the renowned Concordia Chamber Players on Friday, June 7 at 7:30 in Miller Chapel on the Princeton Theological Seminary kicks off the 15th anniversary season of The Princeton Festival. It is followed on Saturday, June 8 by the gala opening night of the warmly romantic musical comedy She Loves Me, complete with champagne meet-the-artists reception, at 8 pm in the Matthews Acting Studio at 185 Nassau Street.

A limited number of tickets to both performances is still available. However, two dates in the 13-performance run of She Loves Me are already either sold out or close to it, so musical theater fans are advised to purchase their seats quickly.

More information is available at, along with links to the web page of the McCarter Theatre Ticket Office for online ticket purchase. Patrons may also buy tickets by calling 609-258-2787, or by visiting the McCarter Ticket Office at 91 University Place in Princeton.

Concordia’s concert will feature duets and trios by Beethoven, Kodaly, and Mendelssohn, played by leading artists from the group’s roster of outstanding musicians. Concordia has played to enthusiastic audiences every year since very beginning of the Festival

Director David Kellett describes She Loves Me as a show about “real people, real emotions.” The musical was nominated for five Tony awards and has won Olivier, Drama Desk, and Critics Circle awards. Its story comes from the same play that was adapted for the 1940 Jimmy Stewart movie “The Shop Around the Corner,” the 1949 Judy Garland vehicle “In the Good Old Summertime,” and the 1998 Tom Hanks/Meg Ryan movie “You’ve Got Mail.”
